historical weather data

Historical weather data for the UK and the Republic of Ireland is available to you via our comprehensive BWS Historical Database. For specific insurance/loss adjusting checking purposes; for measuring performance/sales/footfall against elements of the weather, or for any other kind of day to day weather related historical research, the easy to use BWS Database is at your fingertips.

The BWS Database is a password protected daily updated search-engine which, when a post code or location is entered, along with a date field, will provide you with the available recorded/observed weather information, from January 2008 to the present day for the nearest station - and all stations that surround your requested site.

The Database contains most elements of recorded/reported weather, including mean wind speeds (knots), wind directions, maximum wind gusts (knots), precipitation totals (mm), maximum/minimum temperatures (deg C) and specific notes on severe weather such as hail/thunderstorms/floods - for well over 200 sites. The info is even colour coded green, amber, red – to designate degrees of severity and the chances of weather related damage to have occurred, for example.
